Close, but not quite there.....

I was hoping to hit the 75 pound mark yesterday, but it was 73 instead.  I guess that will be next week's post! =)  I joined the Y last week and will be starting water aerobics classes this week since I have new hours at work. Looking forward to having a semi "normal" life again.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Weight Loss Pictures

So sometimes it it hard for me to feel the weight that I have lost so I asked for an updated picture yesterday at the doctor's office. They said that they would take a new one and send it to me, but they were going to send my before picture too. So here are the results so far.

The first shot was from June and the second shot was taken yesterday.  The shirt for the second one was a little tight, but it was the first time I had been able to wear an XL shirt for almost 10 years!!

Back in the Game!!

So the results are in, and after a lot of hard work, I was down 11 pounds this week for a total loss of 71 pounds!  Woohoo!  I knew that I was going to have a good loss this week due to being on only liquids again, but wasn't expecting 11 pounds. I just wanted the scale to start moving in the right direction again and to get back to businessm and it happened.  Saturday and Sunday were rough days to say the least. I had very little energy due to restricting my calories so much again, but by Monday I was able to do an hour of cardio again. I told the doctor today, it is so weird because I used to HATE to exercise. I remember telling my mom I was sick on the days that I had gym so I could stay home because I was afraid of being the first one out during dodgeball. I can now say that I really enjoy exercise. It almost gives me a high if you will.  The beginning is hard of course, but by the time that you are done, it leaves you with such an accomplished feeling knowing that you did something good for yourself.

So besides hitting my 70 pound mark, I also can say that for the first time in my life my driver's license says that I weigh more than what I actually do, and I also weigh the exact same thing as the hubby (too bad I'm not a foot taller LOL). =)  I am well on my way, and as Dr. C says, I'm just getting started!!!!

Day 1-Detox

So I went for my weigh-in appointment yesterday, and was not suprised to find that I had gained weight. I haven't been 100% on plan for a few weeks, with exception of a day or two here and there. Even though I knew it was coming, I was still really frustrated when I stepped on the scale. I managed to gain 4.6 pounds back during the month of December and while it really isn't that terrible, it was not worth it at all in the grand scheme of things!

So for the next week I have been put back on full liquids again, which is a pain in the a*#!  There is nothing like drinking your meals, but I have no one to blame but myself. They are hoping that by putting me back on full liquids, I will be able to recover that weight more quickly.  It is not an easy process at all, almost a detox of sorts. I woke up today with one heck of a headache due to the adjustment my body is going through right now. I just hope it gets better as the day goes on, and that when I go back for my appointment on Saturday, the numbers will reflect the work that I am doing.
